Meet The Team

Kate Neal (Team Leader)
Kate is a senior Civil Engineering student in pursuit of a career in land development and water resources engineering with experience in site/civil design as well as hydrology & hydraulic engineering through her experiences as an intern at CME Associates in 2022, and Langan Engineering and Environmental Services from 2023 to 2024. She is an active member of the TCNJ community, as Vice President of Chi Epsilon (the Civil Engineering Honor Society), Vice President of Equity and Belonging for Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority, an ambassador for the TCNJ School of Engineering, and a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society as well as the TCNJ ASCE chapter. Her role in this project focuses on the transportation aspect of the redesign.

Jalissa Colon
Jalissa is a senior Civil Engineering student at The College of New Jersey. She is currently working for the Outdoor Equity Alliance as a conservation intern, assisting with collecting baseline data, planning, designing, GIS mapping, surveying, and engaging in foundational stewardship activities. Jalissa is an active member of her community, serving as Vice President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers at TCNJ and as Vice President of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated. Jalissa is responsible for the stormwater and river analysis as well as the hydrologic design of a floodwall. Upon graduation, Jalissa plans to work in the field of water resources.

Daniel Schiariti
Daniel is a senior civil engineering student at The College of New Jersey with experience working in the field of Water Resources Engineering as an intern with Hardesty & Hanover in 2024. At TCNJ, Daniel serves as the president of the Civil Engineering Honors Society Chi Epsilon and is on the executive board of ASCE. Daniel is also involved as an active member of the TCNJ Wind Orchestra, Jazz Combo, and Jazz Band, where he serves as the trumpet section leader. After graduation, he hopes to work as a Water Resources Engineer specializing in stormwater management, hydrology, and hydraulics. Daniel is responsible for the modeling, analysis, and the design of drainage infrastructure to manage stormwater runoff flooding.

Peter Solomine
Peter is a senior Civil Engineering student at The College of New Jersey, interested in pursuing a career in construction. He has experience in land development and land surveying through multiple summer internships at CP Engineers and Gladstone Design, INC. He is well involved on campus, serving as the President and former Treasurer of TCNJ’s Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter, and is an active member of the TCNJ ASCE chapter. Peter is responsible for the transportation aspect of the project, including traffic studies and intersection design. After graduation, he plans to begin a career in construction.
