
Patrick Frawley was a senior Civil Engineering student at The College of New Jersey. As the team leader, Patrick will focused on an alternative design for pedestrian and bike users accessibility and connectivity for the Route 1 corridor. Patrick previously interned at Dynamic Engineering Consultants which gave him the opportunity to work within various fields of civil engineering and land development. Patrick was also involved on campus as a member of the Football Team, American Society of Civil Engineers, Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). He will start his career as a Design Engineer at Dynamic.

Ryan Rosenthal was a senior Civil Engineering student attending The College of New Jersey. He worked on the transportation design portion of the project relating to the main intersection at Route 1 and Bakers Basin Road. Ryan focused on an alternative design for the intersection, as well as finding ways to create safer and more efficient travels for pedestrians, bikers, and vehicles. Ryan was an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He interned at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services in the site civil department, and will be starting his career after graduating at Dynamic Engineering Consultants as a Design Engineer.

Nicholas Rocco was a senior Civil Engineering student at The College of New Jersey. Nicholas’ main focus was on the redesign of the intersection of Bakers Basin Road and Greenberg Road as well as working with the group to redesign the Route 1 Corridor. Nicholas had previously interned with the traffic department at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson where he was able to gain valuable experience in the field of transportation engineering. Nicholas was an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers as well as Phi Alpha Delta. He will start his career as a Site/Civil Project Engineer at Stonefield.

Jayson Schmidt was a senior Civil Engineering student at The College of New Jersey. During his internship at Vericon Construction, Jayson learned the ins and outs of ground up construction from both the office and field. Jayson was responsible for improving the exit at the Chick-fil-A intersection with Bakers Basin Road and Greenberg Road. By analyzing traffic flow, safety concerns, and accessibility, Jayson’s goal was to create a more efficient and safer exit design to enhance the overall functionality of the corridor. He will start his career as a Marine Project Engineer at Caldwell Marine International.
