Meet the Team

Team Leader: Kaleb Felsenstein

Kaleb is a Civil Engineering student at The College of New Jersey. He is interested in highway engineering and plans to pursue that interest into the field after graduation. Kaleb interned at ConeTec over the summer of 2024, where he experienced work in geotechnical applications and an emphasis on in-field problem solving. Kaleb is responsible for the redesign of the parking lot designated for Longport Beach dog park along with the relining and increase of cyclist safety on Route 152 into Ocean Drive.

Team Member: Matt Hengey

Matt Hengey's profession headshot

Matt is a senior studying Civil Engineering at The College of New Jersey. He is looking to pursue a career in the construction industry post-graduation following his internship at Earle Asphalt Company during the summer of 2024. While at Earle, Matt split his time between the office and the field gaining valuable industry experience and knowledge of project lifecycles. Matt is responsible for redesigning the intersection connecting the JFK Memorial Bridge to Longport in an effort to increase pedestrian and cyclist safety while also calming traffic.

Team Member: Michael DiRienzo

Michael DiRienzo's profession headshot

Michael is a senior civil engineering major at The College of New Jersey. Michael was looking to pursue a career in either land development or structural engineering. He gained practical experience as a summer intern at Becht Engineering BT. and Colliers Engineering & Design in 2022 and 2024, respectively. Both of these jobs gave him knowledge in his desired fields, assisting in a variety of real-life civil site and structural projects over the course of two summers. Post graduation, Michael is seeking a full-time job at Colliers, rejoining their civil site team in the following summer. His role in the project is to redesign the intersection connecting the Ocean Drive Bridge to Ocean City and improve its functionality.
