Fall 2020

During the Fall semester, the team worked on researching our problem and laying out design inputs. We came up with three design concepts that we’ll be working on refining in the Spring. Using computer simulations, we will model the stent to examine the forces produced by the stent and the stresses in the struts and in the vessel wall. Fluid simulations will be used to analyze flow through the stent. We also plan to 3D print a prototype to look at how blood cells respond to moving over the stent surface.
