Overview

Our senior project team is building an autonomous racecar made from an RC car that can navigate around a closed course entirely on its own. The car is based on a radio-controlled chassis that we are upgrading with extra sensors, a small computer, and safety features.

The goal is for the car to “see” the track, plan a safe path, and consistently steer smoothly around obstacles. By the end of the project, we aim to demonstrate the car completing multiple laps on its own, while documenting our design choices, testing processes, and results.
