Sachely Antuna

About Sachely…

Sachely is a Biomedical Engineering student born and raised in Cuba. Her academic interests include regenerative engineering as well as the design of medical devices. She is currently working on a research project where her main focus is to understand the specific interactions between enzymes and synthetic random copolymers using techniques such as small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) to characterize the physical structure of the enzymes and the formed protein-polymer complexes and Quartz-crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCMD) to understand the complex protein-polymer formations when an enzyme is immobilized. For the project, she took on the role of treasurer and is also responsible for the hardware design of the device.
