March 18th, 2024 to March 29th, 2024

  • The team has developed a new design for the user interface so that it can be more user-friendly.
  • The algorithms for the color sensor and output display have been optimized.
  • Currently, the team is working on making the prototype power source independent.
  • New algorithms are being developed which will allow the user to save the data on an SD card of their test strip results.

Feb 24th, 2024 to Mar 8th, 2024

  • The team was completed the circuitry of the project. The next step is to order a PCB printed board.
  • The user interface of the screen has been accomplished, and currently the team is working on the display of the results.
  • Color sensor calibration curves were created. However, these are under revision and soon will be updated.
  • The team is working on the power source of the device, since it is expected to be fully charge with batteries.
  • The team presented on March 6th, 2024 the progress made with the device prototype.

Dec. 8th, 2023 to Feb. 9th, 2024

  • All the parts needed for the prototype have arrived to TCNJ facilities and are currently being utilized by the team.
  • Scientific abstract have been written and will be submitted on February 14th of 2024 to the annual Northeast Bioengineering Conference (NEEBEC).
  • The calibration and algorithm of the color sensor and linear actuator are currently being developed.
  • The team is currently working on the verification and validation protocols.

Nov. 18th, 2023 to Dec. 8th, 2023

  • All electrical design components have been selected after evaluation their respective decision matrix.

  • Team presented final project design on November 6th, 2023.
  • Final prototype design has been created using Fusion360 Software among the three different design options.

Nov. 3rd, 2023 to Nov. 17th, 2023

  • Team started ordering parts such as the RGB Color Sensor and Microcontroller.
  • Hazard analysis of the device was performed.
  • In the next two week, team will be working on ways to obtain RBG colors using the sensors and testing of this.
  • Decision matrix of the screen, design material and motors are currently being evaluated.

Oct 21st,2023 to Nov. 2nd, 2023

  • The decision matrix for the microcontroller, color sensor, and screen has been finalized. However, other design components are still under evaluation, including the motor and the isolated material for the device case.
  • The team has elaborated on three designs for the device, with one of them being selected.

 

  • All requirements, specifications and verification have been finalized.
  • The team is currently waiting for approval to commence the process of ordering the necessary components with the intention of starting testing.

Sep. 22nd, 2023 to Oct. 6th, 2023

  1. Device requirement 4 was updated and added to requirements list.
  2. The teams have been working in the device specifications. Currently, these are under review.
  3. Team has worked in realistic constrains and those were approved by advisor.
  4. Draft Budget has be done by the treasure, and it is actively being updated.
