This academic year, The College of New Jersey student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is planning on sponsoring and participating in many activities. These opportunities include inspiring nearby K-12 students through visits, visiting sites for exposure to real world projects, and hosting networking events.<\/p>\n

Additionally, we will be competing in two National ASCE sponsored competitions: Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe. As part of these competitions we will have to apply engineering principles to successfully complete these projects. These competitions prepare students for their future careers in the civil engineering industry through hands-on design projects. Students obtain experience with project management, teamwork, materials, and design methods..<\/p>\n

The College of New Jersey student chapter of the ASCE, is undertaking an intensive fundraising effort to support our activities this academic year. Any contribution you can provide will be greatly appreciated. If you choose to be a sponsor, periodic updates of the progress and the final results of the competitions will be provided. Also, your company will be mentioned as a sponsor at ASCE chapter meetings, presentations, and on each team\u2019s public website. Your company name and logo can also appear on the back of our TCNJ ASCE T-shirts. These shirts will be worn at all official TCNJ ASCE community service events and at both competitions. $500 gives you a 1.5 inch high company logo and $1,000 will give you a 3 inch high company logo.<\/p>\n
