Whenever there is an arc of electricity, there is an electromagnetic field generated. In the case of lighting its frequency ranges from 1 kHz to 120 MHz. We have chosen to tune our em detection from 285 kHz to 315 kHz. We chose this band due to it having good energy detection properties.
