Problem Statement

The Education Lot on the north side of TCNJ’s campus is constantly filled to capacity. It is evident amongst students and faculty that the parking availability on campus is severely lacking and causes frustration. It is the purpose of the team project to expand upon the Education Lot, and potentially redesign existing parking garages on campus in order to relieve the frustration. Additionally, the team wants to solve the problem in an environmentally conscious way. For this reason, in addition to expanding the parking lot(s), the team is going to design a Green Roof on top of the structure. The Green Roofs will decrease the amount of impervious surfaces on campus, and serve as recreational space for both students and staff to enjoy.
