Our goal is to design a hybrid electric/human powered vehicle to compete in the ASME’s e-HPVC competition in the form of a recumbent tricycle.  As a legacy project, we will strive to exceed past teams’ performance by innovating the design and enhancing vehicle capabilities.  Beyond simply competing, we believe this vehicle design also provides potential benefits to individuals with mobility issues who may be unable to ride a traditional bicycle; our design with the electric assist would serve as a safe and easy-to-use transportation option.
