The main goal of the frame is to decrease the weight by 30 lbs (compared to last year’s design) and to lower the center of gravity. This will be achieved through the use of Chromoly Steel which has superior strength as compared to normal structural steel while maintaining the same density. Additional design choices include reducing the wheelbase significantly and lowering the ground clearance to 6 inches.

The final frame design for the 2026 competition prioritizes a low center of gravity for optimal handling and stability.
