The Low Velocity Impact Testing team is dedicated to designing a device which adheres to ASTM standards. This device will help determine material properties and impact deformation of plastic specimen. This device should be capable of performing accurate calculations with different impact types and simulated data.

This year will be devoted to revamping the drop tube as well as adding an extra camera focused on a new axis and to provide a more accurate analysis. Furthermore, the team will be focused on simplifying the user experience and updating all code.
