I will be responsible for recording the steps of the design process, organizing all of the team\u2019s documents, assignments, research, etc., and will be adding final edits to all of our design process steps throughout the duration of the project. In addition to being the team scribe, I will also be responsible for a large portion of the mechanical components for this project. Specifically, I will be responsible for the SolidWorks designs, the bone mechanics calculations, manufacturing a working prototype of the device, and will work with the rest of my team on running FEA analysis for our design.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For our project I plan to specialize in identifying and developing the necessary  electrical and sensing components for our device as well as the role of webmaster for the group. Specifically I am responsible for designing the control unit and processing board, identifying and developing sensor devices to collect data on the angles and forces on the knee during a walking gait cycle, as well as interpreting this data to identify the necessary specifications, thresholds, and constraints of the device. <\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For this project I will be responsible for <\/span>co designing and testing of the load bearing components of the knee brace. I will design the control system needed for the integration of electrical components in the brace. <\/span>I will also be responsible for gait analysis and brace optimization through video data acquisition and I will assist in running the brace through several thousand load cycles in the FEA analysis. I am also responsible for organizing and holding group members accountable for their roles. I will be accountable for facilitating social interactions for better productivity in group meetings and extraneous communication<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
