In order to achieve all of the goals of this project we used a 3D printer and modify the extrusion tip in order to dispense hydrogel. The components of this device include the printer base made from the Folger Tech i3 Prusa 3D Printer Kit and the 3D printed RepRapPro Paste Extruder. Both components were integrated so that the printer would be able to print using hydrogel. The Repetier Host software was used to control the printer movement and extrusion. The Slic3r software was used to convert user channel design input (in the form of .stl files) into GCode which was readable by the printer.
