The IGVC, or Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition, is a yearly design competition in which teams from various colleges and universities design and construct an autonomous vehicle that is capable of navigating through an obstacle course without any aid. During the competition, vehicle performance is evaluated based on how quickly and accurately the vehicle completes the course. The 24th Annual IGVC is being held at Oakland University, in Rochester, Michigan from June 3-6, 2016. The IGVC’s official website is provided below.

For creating our autonomous vehicle, we must abide by the regulations set on vehicle design in the construction of our vehicle. There are plenty of rules that must be followed and plays a key part in the decision process for the vehicle components.
