Arduino UNO Q

The Arduino UNO Q was announced in fall of last year while we were working on our project and it released for delivery mid-January.

This brand new Arduino board is exactly what we needed! it’s a hybrid “dual-brain” platform which combines a Linux® Debian-capable Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ QRB2210 microprocessor with a real-time STM32U585 microcontroller (MCU).

This new offering from Arduino would allow us to use the microcontroller for all of our ultrasonic and input control needs while letting us process the visual data using AI on the Qualcomm chip. Previously we were going to use a raspberry pi and Arduino nanos to process and control everything which meant there would be excess wiring and complication. This new, budget friendly option allows us to do everything on one board which will greatly streamline our design.
