Hand Gesture Sensor

This option is a relatively quick on as it is an expansion on the proof of concept. For this we will use a PAJ760U2 Gesture Sensor to detect hand movement. This is a pre-programmed sensor which can detect some hand signals already and has two modes: fast and slow. The slow mode can detect more signals and more complex signals. On top of this whole component also allows for custom programming too.

The hope here is to combine our proof of concept work with the pre-programmed nature of this component and our compact microcontroller boards to produce a basic product which fully proves our idea and that a compact and low-cost solution is possible. From here we would move forward working to improve the speed, accuracy, and scope in terms of hand signals for the project. However, it is anticipated that more processing power will be needed. This is the reason for the choice of multiple arduinos and a raspberry pi for comparisons.
