- We are planning to use a 12V Monocryatalline solar panel with a charge controller that will display the voltage generated by the solar panel over a period of time
- The charge controller will be connected to a 7.5Ah battery that will power the go through DC-DC to step down in order to power the heating coil and Arduino Uno board.
- In the mean time, sensors in clean water tank and dirty water tank are going to display water level information.
- After the water starts to boil, the steam is going to pass through a condenser that will get condensed in a empty tank which is safe to drink.

Status Update
Our Team finished all preliminary research and have finalized the design for out water purification system. This includes showing necessary simulation like DC-Dc step down in PSpice in order to demonstrate our understanding of the topic. Furthermore, we have a fully functioning water level sensor that is interfaced with Arduino. According to the water level sensor depth, the display of the water level information will be shown on the three LED’s. Each LED depicts the depth of the water, such as, green is fully submerged, yellow is partially submerged, and red the water tank is empty.
