Our Objective:
Our objective is to design and build a fixed wing aircraft that fits the standards of the Society of Automotive Engineers(SAE) Aero Design Competition so that rising juniors can use the foundation we lay to bring an aircraft to the 2024 competition.
Meet The Team!
We are four senior mechanical engineering majors who are extremely thrilled to take on the fixed wing aircraft design challenge as our capstone project. After shadowing the previous year’s team we knew we wanted to take part in the SAE design competition process, and are excited to see what the rising seniors do with what we started come 2024’s competition!
Haris Alam
Haris is going to be focusing on the wings of our aircraft.
Jonathon Pecora
Jon is one of our co-team managers and will be focusing primarily on the fuselage of the plane.
Jacob Plungis
Jacob is another one of our co-team managers. He will be focusing on the propeller and landing gear of the plane.
Amanda Wisniewski
Amanda is the webmaster for this project, and her main component of this project will be to focus on the tail.
