We have finished ordering all of the necessary components for our prototype and we will start building once everything arrives. While we wait, we’re making the most of this time by planning our construction process. This includes finalizing assembly methods and ensuring each step is clear and efficient.

Winter Progress Update

Hello everyone, here is the progress our team has made over winter break and spring semester:

Technical Advancements:

  • Dasha has been building the system’s core code, establishing key variables and implementing functions to control pumps and valves based on sensor data. This flexible code will allow for adaptability and future improvements.

Power Optimization:

  • Aralisa and Kaitlin have finalized the crucial calculations for the prototype, analyzing how pump and component usage impacts battery drain and solar panel power generation. This ensures efficient energy management for long-term operation.

Next Steps:

  • With all calculations finalized and approved, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be ordering the remaining necessary parts within the next few days! This marks a significant milestone as we move closer to assembling and testing our prototype.
