The 2016 team is currently working on an basic electrical system in order to get the boat dynamically tested before winter arrives.  After testing and mechanical redesign, the team will return to the electrical system to make improvements such as a dead-man switch (required for competition), a bypass (to switch between endurance and sprint configurations), and finally a telemetry system.  Telemetry is important in the endurance portion of the competition, allowing the captain to maintain an optimal speed.
