Preliminary Design 1 : Manual Adjustment of SPO2 Values
- Make a chart on shades of skin tones, adjust output accordingly
- Have a range, then allow users to choose a number according to their skin tone.
Preliminary Design 2 : Digital Adjustment of SPO2 Values
- Similar idea as the design #1, but the user does not have to choose or decide on anything.
- A photo will be taken of the user’s skin. It will be analyzed via color picker, then SPO2 values will be adjusted accordingly.
Preliminary Design 3 : Device Auto-adjustment of SPO2 Values
- While taking readings of the patients SPO2 the device will automatically scan the patients skin tone and automatically provide adjustments to the readings due to the skin tone determination.

The final design that was chosen was preliminary design 3 which is the device auto adjustment of SPO2 levels.
