The team needs to design and construct a hybrid man-powered/electric vehicle that is capable of performing in a series of competitions testing its speed, endurance, and safety. The goal of this project is to improve upon the previous team’s design in order to receive high scores at the national competition, and gain valuable experience in the engineering design process. The team intends to improve upon the steering system, frame, and other crucial components of the vehicle with the intent of manufacturing the best design iteration possible.
