The vehicle should also be able to accommodate all the members of the team so all the members could drive the vehicle at competition to prevent fatigue on one driver. The frame and fairing were also to be design in tandem such that a full, integrated streamlined design could be created. Most if not all of the component should be manufacturable using TCNJ facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Design:<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The frame is a ladder frame design that consists of Aluminum 6061-T6 1\u201d and 7\/8\u201d round and circular tube support members with wall thicknesses of 1\/8\u201d and 1\/16\u201d. Secondary members<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0have a wall thickness of 1\/16\u201d and all other members have a thickness of \u215b\u201d. \u00a0There is a 0.032\u201d aluminum firewall that separates the driver from the engine, 1\/4\u201d thick dropouts for the back wheel. The total length of the frame is 87.5\u201d, with a maximum width of 21\u201d and a height of 21\u201d at the roll hoop. The total length of the vehicle is 110\u201d. The driver sits against the firewall at a 41\u00b0 angle, which allows for enough room to see above his knees, and keep the maximum height of the vehicle less than the back wheel for a streamlined shape.
