Adjustability / Storage

Patient Specific Adjustability

The device design allows for an 8-inch adjustability range. The prototyped model is usable for patients ranging from 5’2’’to 5’10’’ with increments of 1-inch between each height setting. Additional models would be manufactured to fit shorter and taller patients outside this height range.

The device also features an additional adjustability setting located below the axillary padding that allows the patient to adjust the device height in 0.5-inch increments to allow for even more precise fitting from patient to patient.

The height settings will only need to be set once at the beginning of patient treatment.

Storage

The device design features holes at the upper section that allow for the upper section of the crutch to telescope downwards for more compact storage while not in use.
