The device passed this verification test with a maximum measured tread depth of 9.0 inches (prototype) and 9.04 inches (SolidWorks model). The Solidworks model also shows the bottom faces of each contact point lying in the same horizontal plane. The device had a specification of two points of contact on each crutch that must be usable with stairs having tread depths of up to 10-12 inches from the base of the crutch.
