Welcome!

Hello, welcome to our senior design project webpage! We will be using this platform to keep up to date with our progress in the design control process as we address improvements to the current design for the standard cervical collar used in emergency medical procedures.

The College of New Jersey Senior Design Project is a culmination of student’s entire curriculum at TCNJ. Design teams work to identify and address a current problem present in biomedical devices. Teams of 4 senior engineering students work through the entirety of the design control process to see their novel ideas come to fruition.

The team would like to thank all of the professors within the biomedical engineering department at TCNJ, specifically Dr. Alvandi and Dr. Wagner, for their support throughout the duration of this project.

Additionally, we would like to thank all of the emergency professionals that contributed to preliminary research for this project and all of the members of the senior class that participated in prototype testing!

Progress:

As the first semester comes to an end, the team has moved toward finalizing a design. We will be solidifying these ideas during our academic break, and ready to start fabrication in February 2021! Be sure to keep up with the team throughout next semester as we achieve these goals.

What’s New?

The team has been diligently working on our design, and is excited to start finalizing their ideas to begin fabrication next semester. To follow along, check out our new Progress page to see what’s been done and our plans for the upcoming months.
