Our goal is to make a beacon system that alerts users when they come within 6 feet of one another. In order to accomplish this task, we have purchased several devices from Nordic Semiconductor. Among these are the nRF 51-DK and the nRF 51822 Smart Beacon, each of which are powered by coin cell batteries. Once the 6 foot radius has been breached, our device powers a 12,000 rpm vibrational motor. Further in development, we would like to add a rechargeable battery to make our system more feasible for daily use in a business environment. Additionally, we will add an audible alert once we can assure that the device power drain is sufficiently low. 

If possible within our timeframe, we would like to collect anonymous contact tracing data sent via WiFi, accounting for not only distance but time elapsed within 6 feet. Thus, we may assess levels of risk associated with COVID-19 positive contacts while maintaining individual privacy.
