Description:
The team will design an ASTM standard low velocity impact tester (LVIT) to determine material properties and impact deformation of plastic specimens. If successful, the apparatus will test different types of plastics and shapes through experimentally obtained and simulated values.

Team’s Goals and Challenges:
Deliverables for this project will be the functional prototype, MATLAB script for impact deformation analysis, and an ANSYS simulation to support the obtained experimental values.
