Upon research, we discovered that out of the 60% of women that experience lower back pain during pregnancy, 20-25% of those women must take a sick leave from work post-partum due to continued pain in their back. Realizing that this was an issue, we made it our goal to design a device that will provide women with the helpful abdominal support while also allowing them to track their spinal position throughout their pregnancy. Pregnancy support belts already exist, but they do not encompass all of the components that our device does.
