Our Mission

The laryngoscope is a device that assists in laryngoscopies. This procedure aids in visualizing the larynx for endotracheal intubation. The pressure sensor laryngoscope addresses the challenges and consequences of current laryngoscope designs used in standard emergency hospital care. The aim of this project is to design a laryngoscope equipped with pressure-sensors to supplement accurate training for medical professionals such as doctors and paramedics to prevent soft tissue injuries by providing feedback from the quality of force exerted. Currently, there are a wide variety of laryngoscopes available that incorporate visual cameras and fiber optic lights, but none that utilize a pressure sensor.
