Autonomous Medical Response Drone

An autonomous quadcopter is a multipurpose vehicle which uses four fixed position motors and a Global Positioning System to navigate through the air. Autonomous quadcopters or drones have many viable applications in industry, safety countermeasures, surveillance, and delivery systems. The quadcopter is an up-and-coming piece of technology that will be used for ease of access and to make people’s lives safer. The goal of the Quadcopter senior project is to design, build, and implement a quadcopter capable of autonomous flight, using an array of sensors and global satellite arrays. The quadcopter will be designed and fitted with video streaming capabilities as well as manual control overrides to provide maximum safety to pedestrians in its vicinity. The objective for our senior project group is to be able to design a quadcopter capable of delivering and assisting with medical or other dangerous emergencies, and will respond to emergency calls made from TCNJ Police call boxes.
