After deciding the components used within the device, the team created a SOLIDWORKS drawing which encompass the diverse potential layouts of the components. The team analyzed the pros and cons of each layout using a design matrix and determined their final design. This design is subject to change in the future if the components chosen are no longer utilized for this project.

The team went through a thorough presentation of their project in front of the advisors to receive feedback and comments about potential changes or concerns. These comments were revised and implemented within the final report that was submitted during this month. This report is a living document that will contain every aspect of the device in full detail.

One of the concerns from the presentation was in regards to the cooling aspect of the device as we were considering using convection cooling through fans. Due to this, the cooling aspect is being revised and the team is researching thermoelectric cooling which will potentially be the new method of cooling.

The semester has ended within this month, therefore the team is taking some time off to enjoy the holidays with their family. The RLS Relief Device team will continue their progression and research throughout the winter break and regroup in full form after the New Year. We wish everyone happy holidays and a happy New Year!
