Timothy Chandler – Team Leader

Timothy is a Biomedical Engineer from Park Ridge, New Jersey. As team leader, he is responsible for establishing deadlines as well as communication between team members and their designated Advisor. Timothy is responsible for gaining an understanding of the heating components the device may ultimately have. He will also handle the electrical modeling of the project that correlates to the necessary circuitry, as he has access to Arduino components and other skills acquired through repeated use of MATLAB and Excel.
Cody Edminster – Secretary

Cody is a Biomedical Engineer originally from Deerfield, New Jersey. As secretary, he will document the design process and prepare project deliverables for review throughout the project’s duration. His secondary roles include leading 3D modeling for the project and developing the vibrational component of the device. With ample hands-on design and CAD modeling experience, he is well equipped to handle these responsibilities. Cody also has a background in new medical devices and quality science, which he will use to help guide design decisions.
Jonathan Makris – Web Designer

Jonathan is a Biomedical Engineer from Skillman, New Jersey. Being the web designer of this team, his role revolves around the creation and maintenance of the website where frequent updates shall be posted alongside the team secretary. As well, using knowledge of various coding languages, his role also includes research and incorporation of the project’s control system for the various components.
Ahsan Qureshi – Budget Manager

Ahsan is a senior Biomedical Engineer from East Windsor, New Jersey. As budget manager, he is responsible for making sure the team stays within the $400 dollar budget by looking into various ways in which this project can be deemed “cost effective”. With technical skills such as CFD modeling and knowledge of data analysis, this individual will look into the cooling aspect of the device, keeping in communication with the team leader to ensure it will be functional in the same environment as the heating component.
Dr. Constance Hall – Team Advisor

In addition to being a professor to some of the team members, Dr. Hall acts as the team’s Faculty Advisor. Having experience in the field of medical devices, she seemed to be a perfect fit for the team. Through the design process, Dr. Hall serves as a guide for the team, answering any questions they may have while also addressing any concerns that she feels may arise.
Dr. Christopher Wagner

Dr. Wagner is the head of the Biomedical Engineering Department at The College of New Jersey. For this project in particular, he has been serving as a supervisor, introducing assignments that relate directly to the project in order to keep the team constantly working. Dr. Wagner is also willing to answer any questions the team may have while being vocal about any potential issues.
