Welcome to Rover Rescue!

Our senior engineering design project is to develop an autonomous outdoor rover targeted towards natural disaster navigation.

In the event of a natural disaster or extreme inclement weather, individuals can often be trapped in unsafe and damaged areas for periods of time without access to food, water, medical supplies, and communications while they wait for rescue efforts.

We hope to address this issue by developing a robotic solution – a robust and efficient rover which uses computer vision and control systems algorithms to optimize movement and obstacle detection to reach people in unsafe areas in order to deliver supplies, and potentially provide a temporary communications network similar to a mobile hotspot.

Join us on our senior project journey to view our progress, as we work towards our final presentation in the spring!
