About Us

Real-Time Hybrid Simulation is the development of two scale models of a multistory structure: physical and numerical.  The data from the physical model will be interfaced in real time with numerical models to accurately calculate deflection in the structure.

Our primary goal is to develop two types of scale models of a multistory structure: physical and numerical. The physical model will be built and excited with a machine shake table, with data collected from the Digital Image Correlation (DIC) camera. Two numerical models will be built: Full-Scale and Reduced-Order. Both numerical models will be simulated using data collected from the sensors in the physical model. The data from the physical model will be interfaced with numerical models to accurately calculate deflection in the structure.
