Meet the Team

Christina is a senior biomedical engineering student expected to graduate from The College of New Jersey in May 2022. In the senior project group, Christina is the team leader and leads the sensor component of the device, including the oxygen saturation sensor and body position pressure sensor. Outside of TCNJ, Christina has had experience in a variety of biomedical engineering fields over her four years. She interned in a prosthetic and orthotic clinic at Kessler Center for Rehabilitation, performed cardiovascular imaging analysis with Weill Cornell Hospital’s Dalio Institute for cardiovascular imaging, and most recently was a research intern for Stryker Joint Replacement, where she focused in healthcare economics research and gained valuable experience in preclinical research. She plans to return to Stryker after graduation as an Engineer on the Research and Product Assurance team. Christina has also been involved in organizations on campus throughout her time at TCNJ. She has gained leadership and public speaking experience as an Engineering Ambassador, Global Engagement Peer Mentor, and Anti-Violence Initiatives Peer Educator. She is also a member of Society of Women Engineers, Biomedical Engineering Society, and TCNJ Greek life. Outside of work, Christina enjoys traveling, spend time with friends and family, and be active.

Colleen is a senior biomedical engineering major at the College of New Jersey expected to graduate in May 2022. She is the material lead for the senior design project, and she is responsible for the budget and timeline for the group. She ensures that the materials chosen are under the team’s strict budget and are ordered in a timely manner. She also constructed the team’s year long Gantt chart, which visualizes the team’s progress and serves as a guide for future procedures throughout the academic year. Throughout her college career, she has held several leadership positions through TCNJ clubs and organizations which strengthened her communication, organization and leadership skills. She is most grateful of her two on-campus jobs as a TCNJ Ambassador and Orientation Leader. These positions gave her the opportunity to develop her public speaking skills while also being a part of underclassmen’s journeys into TCNJ college life. Outside of TCNJ, Colleen has focused on advancing her experience in the medical field. During school breaks, she shadowed orthopedic surgeons at Rothman Orthopaedics in the clinical setting and operating room, and currently works at an Urgent Care as a medical assistant. Colleen is grateful for her academic and extracurricular experience at TCNJ and will take the skills she learned and developed into the workplace and hopefully, graduate school.

Hannah is a senior biomedical engineering major at the College of New Jersey expected to graduate in May 2022. Hannah is the mechanical lead for the senior project, where she will be in charge of working on the pneumatic portion of the device. Along with this, she is also the secretary of the group and is in charge of the organization of the group as well as taking the meeting minutes and notes for all advisor meetings. Outside of school, Hannah has interned at Bristol Myers Squibb within Biologics Development. She was able to work within the analytical analysis of the development of cancer therapeutics. Aside from this, Hannah is involved in a variety of organizations around campus. She is the secretary of Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honors society as TCNJ. She is also a mentor for both the Biomedical Engineering Society and the Society of Women Engineers. Outside of engineering, she is involved in Greek life at TCNJ as well. Hannah has learned and gained so much great experience at TCNJ and is grateful for it and hopes to be able to translate these skills throughout her career. Upon graduation, Hannah will continue her career at Bristol Myers Squibb as a Cell Therapy Rotational Program Associate, where she will rotate throughout the department of Cell Therapy at BMS.
