Verification Testing:

The device’s fail-safe mechanism will be confirmed by attempting to rotate the device beyond the constrained range of motion and measuring further motion beyond that range.

Validation Testing:

Human testing will be used to confirm that the fail-safe prevents the device from rotating beyond the human ROM limits.

Hard stop validation testing for the acute phase. Testing failed to meet specification of 0-5° in plantar- and dorsiflexion.
