Engineering role- Valve design

Patricia Thomas is a senior biomedical engineering major at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) and is a member of the TCNJ’s Women’s Swimming and Diving team. She conducts research investigating the material property changes in bone due to ionizing radiation and investigating neuronal networks. After graduation, she plans to seek a PhD in biomedical engineering.

Engineering role- Delivery mechanism

Chandara Lam is a senior biomedical engineering major at The College of New Jersey. She is an active member of Barkada, the Filipino-American student organization on campus, SWE, the Society of Women Engineers, and the Ski and Snowboard club. After graduation, she plans to go into industry, specializing in cell research.

Engineering role- Pressure Simulations of Valve

Annette Wanjiku is a senior biomedical engineer major at The College of New Jersey. She is a member of the TCNJ Women’s Track and Field team and vice president of the TCNJ NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She is also a co-founder and president of the TCNJ Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers,a non-profit organization aimed at the retention of black engineers. After graduation, she plans to go into industry while seeking her Masters in biomedical engineering.

Engineering role – Interface between valve and delivery mechanism

Julia Fedor is a senior biomedical engineering major at the College of New Jersey. She is a member of the cheerleading team and a founder of Theta Tau, a professional engineering fraternity. Upon graduation, she plans to go right into industry, preferably in the field of orthotics.
