Waterfront Park provides a popular destination for local residents as well as for people coming to watch the Trenton Thunder play baseball at Arm & Hammer Park. Route 29 runs directly through this area and serves as a critical traffic connection to the state’s capital buildings and services. Unfortunately, Waterfront Park does not attract as many visitors as it should because it is enclosed b y a high traffic area with limited access to the waterfront. Our project involves dieting Route 29 at Waterfront Park, redesigning the S. Warren Street and Cass Street intersections and building a new elevated walkway along the Delaware River that will connect the community to the park. Construction will account for the maintenance of traffic flow and the safety and well-being of surrounding communities.
