The device must be able to output a score that is indicative of the diagnosis. The user needs to be informed of the severity of the condition so that treatment can be sought, if necessary.
DESIGN SOLUTION
The microprocessor will be coded to covert input information to an output. The output will be displayed as a number from 0 to 4 on a seven segment display as shown in Figure 5.1. The diagnostic score will be based on which force levels the patient feels as shown in the flow chart in Figure 5.2. The score will be the maximum score out of the scores from each of the three testing sites.
