Problem Statement

Out of the 4 million babies born in the US every year, 3,700 die within their first year of life from Sudden Unexpected Infant Death. To reduce this risk, we created a device to monitor a baby’s health during sleep. Current devices on the market do not monitor more than one sign, such as heart rate, and therefore are limited in the capability to identify symptoms of a decline in the baby’s state of well-being. This device is intended to lower the risk of infant death during sleep.
